Happy Valley Pride 2026 - our 10th anniversary festival - took place from the 18th to the 26th July 2026 and drew our biggest audience EVER!

This year we held our first ever parade. Crowds of people lined the streets of Hebden Bridge to cheer on the LGBTQIA+ community as we made our way through the town led by a giant puppet of our Patron Saint David Hoyle. 

The parade led everyone into Hebden Bridge's Calder Holmes Park to kickstart the biggest event of the festival - The Big Day Out, headlined by BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing & Drag Race star, La Voix and featured performances from Tom Rasmussen, Horse Macdonald and the UK’s leading Lady Gaga tribute, Donna Marie. The event was opened, as always, by our wonderful Youth Pride kids, PRISMS - a truly special & emotional performance. An estimated 8140 people attended The Big Day Out - bringing huge crowds to Hebden Bridge in support of the queer community.

Other festival highlights include a sold-out show with drag superstar Myra Dubois at the historic Todmorden Hippodrome theatre. An exciting new collaboration with the renowned Manchester dance house, Ghetto Fabulous brought a Catwalk Extravaganza to Todmorden Town Hall. The event was a huge success and gained incredible feedback from those who attended. Other festival highlights include folk singer Grace Petrie, cabaret duo Bourgeois & Maurice, South Asian performer Sid Akbar, and the iconic London club night Duckie - all with sold-out shows at Hebden Bridge’s Trades Club. 

The week ended with a packed-to-the-rafters event at Todmorden’s Golden Lion, showcasing local, new cabaret talent with our partners Cal-de-Cabaret and HVP regular, the legendary David Hoyle. 

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support Happy Valley Pride and the 54 volunteers who helped make it happen - it truly was a week like no other. We look forward to seeing you all again at next year’s festival: 17th - 25th July 2027.
