Event Information

MAIN STAGE LINE UP!

La Voix

La Voix, the UK's funniest redhead and queen of live vocals is a showbiz tour de force! A powerhouse of charisma, comedy, and cabaret, she is lighting up the stage, the screen, and the charts like never before. With her electrifying vocals and brilliant wit, La Voix has the ability to morph seamlessly between the legendary voices of Tina Turner, Shirley Bassey, Liza Minnelli, Judy Garland, and Cher, leaving audiences utterly spellbound.

La Voix was a headline-stealing participant in the most recent series of Strictly Come Dancing, the flagship entertainment show on BBC One. In 2024 she stole the show and hearts of many on Season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK. With four RuPeter Badges under her belt and a place in the grand finale, she was awarded runner-up and quickly became a fan favourite. As Jennifer Saunders famously warned: “Wear thick pants because you'll wet yourself laughing”.

Horse

Horse is a phenomenal singer, songwriter and true icon. She is not only known for her unique, passionate vocals and performance, but also for her skills as a songwriter. For decades, she has been a staunch ambassador and advocate - a beacon in the LGBTQIA + community.

“I’m delighted to be returning to Hebden for the wonderful Happy Valley Pride Anniversary celebrations. I am so proud to be a patron and proud to be a small part of such an important Pride. From the first time I attended HVP I felt welcome and part of the family. It's an absolute honour and pleasure to perform for my peers. I will be performing on the main stage, joined by Lorny T and Kirsty McCafferty.”

‘… a ridiculously magnificent voice, the ultimate singers' singer’ - The Write Angle

Tom Rasmussen

Tom Rasmussen is a London-based artist and prominent figure in the LGBTQIA+ community. Known for their dark dance music that blends pop, queer club culture, and their experiences as a former drag performer, Tom's debut album, Body Building (Globe Town Records 2023), received critical acclaim. Their second album, Live Wire was released in October 2024. We’re absolutely thrilled to have them make their Happy Valley Pride debut at The Big Day Out.

donna marie as lady gagA

“The closest thing to Gaga you’ll see live anywhere in the world.”

Donna Marie, widely recognised as the Official UK’s No.1 Lady Gaga Tribute, continues to raise the benchmark for live tribute performance with a show that combines vocal excellence, visual precision and theatrical scale.

A multi award-winning performer, Donna Marie established her reputation early in her career with her theatre production Donna Marie: A Lady Gaga Experience, which sold thousands of tickets and cemented her as a standout name in live entertainment.

Renowned for delivering 100% live, sound-alike vocals, Donna Marie’s performances are supported by meticulous attention to detail from handcrafted replica costumes inspired by the Haus of Gaga to authentic choreography and signature stage elements including a fully working Spark Bra. The result is a visually striking and immersive show that consistently captivates audiences.

Her work has gained recognition from Lady Gaga herself, who praised her likeness and performance, with further endorsement through shares across Gaga’s official social media platforms. She brings her dancers and full show to Happy Valley Pride.

The Curry Puffs

The Curry Puffs are a brother duo serving you a fusion of Bollywood, drag and drama, baked into a spectacle that’s hot, crisp and impossible to resist. Once you get a taste, you’ll be back for seconds!

Sista Jam

Our valley’s very own Riot Women! A group of amazing females featuring Happy Valley Pride’s very own diva Terry Logan. They’re back at the Big Day Out, full of heart, sisterly glam and soul musical enchantments. A big hit in previous years, they're here to celebrate our tenth anniversary.

Youth Pride Stage

Once again, the kids from all over Calderdale who take part in our Youth Engagement projects will open The Big Day Out with an hour-long show that they produce, programme and present. Expect to see singers, bands, performances and the rainbow parade in this celebration of identity and exclusivity.

KATE O'DONNELL

We are thrilled that our patron, trans activist and performer will join us on the main stage. Kate is here today to remind us of the importance of supporting the trans community during these divisive times.

As a performer, writer, director and curator, Kate’s credits include autobiographical show, Big Girl’s Blouse (Soho Theatre), Electra in Gypsy (Royal Exchange), Russell T Davies' Christmas Star (Royal Exchange Theatre), Divine Comedy (HOME Theatre) and most recently, Broadway’s transfer of Oh Mary! (Trafalgar Theatre), winner of an Olivier 2026 for Best New Play.

Hosted by Azara

This year your Big Day Out host is the one and only Azara - the irrepressible host always doing the most for the legendary cabaret club Duckie, The Posh Club in Hackney and on tour. Through working with many different communities and age ranges, Azara knows how to work a crowd and it's always done with humour and style. So be prepared to be locked in and see one of the best MC’s liven up your stage.

PLEASE, PLEASE FIND A FRIENDLY VOLUNTEER AND DONATE £3 TO KEEP THE BIG DAY OUT FREE.

This year, it is costing just under £50,000 to put on the Big Day Out. We refuse to start charging for what we firmly believe is a much-needed free community event in our valley that everyone can attend, but we firmly rely on kind donations to keep doing it. Here's how you can help:

  • Donate £3. If everybody who attends the Big Day Out donated just £3, then we're close to covering half the cost. We have buckets for cash and card readers!
  • Buy our merch. Buying a t-shirt, tote bag, wrist bands, flags enables us to raise thousands of pounds towards the cost of the Big Day Out.
  • Buy your food and drink from our gorgeous concessions. Buying food and drink from the amazing providers we've brought in means that they can give us a donation from their takings
  • Become a member. Head over to the Merch stall or speak to a friends volunteer about how you make a long-term difference to Happy Valley Pride by become a Happy Valley Pride Member for as little as £15 per year.
  • Get your raffle tickets. The annual Happy Valley Pride raffle is one of the most talked about events of the year, due to the incredible businesses who donate some amazing prizes. All proceeds go to paying for the Big Day Out.

THank you for coming. Be Here, Be You, Be Proud.
